As a secular humanist Sarah believes that laws and opinions are subjective. She believes that laws are made up by those who wish to live by them. This idea centers on the perspective that those in a society know what is best for them and have the power to choose what laws and rules to live by.
Secular Humanists do not believe in any devinly established rules. They do not believe in God. As a Christian I believe that God is the divine authority and lawmaker. As we look to the bible we see the fact that God gave laws and rules about way of life to his people in many instances such as Moses and the ten commandments. In many instances the people broke them and were not blessed as a result. From the very beginning of creation God had laws laid out for Adam and Eve who broke them and opened up the world to sin and corruption. Even though we are suspose to follow our leaders with the trust that God has appointed them we also must be willing to challenge them under the laws that God has laid before us.
